The Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2011 will be conducted in accordance with the ISU Constitution, ISU General Regulations 2010 and Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Synchronized Skating 2010 as well as all pertinent ISU Communications. The teams must belong to an ISU Member (Rule 130, paragraph 7), the ages must fall within the limits specified in Rule 108, paragraph 3. All skaters must qualify with regard to eligibility according to Rule 102 and participation and citizenship requirements according to Rule 109.
The following categories are included:
Seniors: Short Program and Free Skating
Juniors: Short Program and Free Skating
Novices: Free Skating
The final results will be determined according to the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules Synchronized Skating 2010.
Each ISU Member Association may enter two (2) teams per category. The organizer reserves the right to limit the number of entries per Member.

Preliminary Entries, indicating participation of the ISU Member (or club), have to be submitted not later than October 15, 2010 while Final Entries, with the name of selected Team and Judge, must be submitted not later than December 15, 2010. (Please enclose team photo – no coaches included).
If invited Members are unable to accept the invitation to participate, they should notify this to the Organizing Committee by no later then October 15, 2010.
The registration for Referees, Technical Specialists, Technical Controller, Judges, Teams, Accredited Coaches and Team Managers/Leaders will take place at the Four Points – Panorama Hotel (official hotel) starting from Wednesday, January 12, from 8:00 till 20:00 and on Thursday, January 13, from 8:00 till 18:00.
All registered skaters have to enclose copy of their passport when they sign in.
The entry fee of EUR 350. - per team is required at the time of application, amount to be paid through Bank currency transfer.
Expiry date of entry is December 15, 2010. Should a team withdraw from the event after that date, Entry Fee will not be refunded (See Entry Fee Information).
In accordance with Rule 720, each participating ISU Member may nominate only one (1) Judge for the international competitions, listed on the ISU List of Referees and Judges for Synchronized Skating 2010/2011. For Novice Event organizer will accept national judges as well. The Referees, Technical Specialists, Technical Controller, Data Operator and Replay Operator will be nominated by the Organizing Committee and chosen from the ISU list for Synchronized Skating 2010/2011.
The Organizer will cover the travel expenses for invited Referees, Technical Specialists, Technical Controller, Data Operator and Replay Operator only. Ordered flight tickets should be based on economy airfare. The Organizer will provide ground transportation for invited Technical Panel, the Referees and nominated Judges.
The expenses (room and meals) for invited Technical Panel, the Referees and nominated Judges will be borne by the Organizer starting with lunch on Thursday, January 13 to lunch Sunday, January 16, 2011 for the European Judges, and from dinner, Wednesday, January 12 to lunch Sunday, January 16, 2011 for the non-European Judges.
Spouses and other persons accompanying teams are not included. All other expenses shall be the responsibility of each official.
The Draw for the Panel of Judges will be made at the Judges Meeting, which will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at 17:00 at the Four Points – Panorama Hotel.
The Judges Round Table Discussion will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 after the Award Ceremony in Dom sportova Arena.
Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2011 will be run in accordance with appropriate ISU Rules (ISU General Regulations 2010 and ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Synchronized Skating 2010) for Seniors and Juniors, including guidelines for Novice competitions (Communication No. 1528).
The following should be noted:
Teams may enter more then one category using different music and a different program, with a minimum 50% change in skaters. Only those skaters whose names are listed on the registration form will be allowed to skate.

The layout of the arena with the entrance to and exit from the ice, judge's stand, etc. will be forwarded to each participant upon receipt of the team entry form.
CITIZENSHIP / RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS
In accordance with ISU Rule 109, all skaters who do not have the nationality of the Member by which they have been entered or who, although having such nationality, have in the past represented another Member, must produce an ISU Clearance Certificate.
MUSIC
All teams shall provide their competition music of excellent quality, on CD in accordance with Rule 724. The team must submit two (2) copies for each program at the time of registration. All cassettes or CD’s must be properly inserted in their original container and be clearly identified with the name of the team, the category (junior/senior/novice), the type of program (short program/free skating) and must show the exact running time of the music (not skating time). Please see Form 4.
HOTEL ACCOMODATION
The Four Points - Panorama Hotel is the official Hotel for Judges, Referees and Technical Panel (capacity of minimum 160 rooms and suites - 350 persons). There is an accommodation possibility for teams in the same hotel for about 14 teams. The Four Points - Panorama Hotel is located across the street from "Dom sportova" Arena. Transportation will not be necessary to and from the event.

Reservations have to be made directly to the hotel on a first come first serve basis. For those who want accommodation in other hotels, there is a list of hotels offered to teams (which support Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2011) with special rates on Form HI-2.
A priority for accommodation in official hotel will be according to receiving order of entries.
Favorable conditions will be offered to the teams (see Hotel conditions attached – Forms HI-1 and HI-2).
Meals will be available at the Four Points - Panorama Hotel (for teams accommodated there) with a special rate of EUR 14, - per meal (See Form 6).
Accommodation and meals for participating teams is at their own expense.
TRANSPORTATION
Teams arriving in Croatia by coach will be independent (organized parking place by Four Points - Panorama Hotel or by Dom sportova Arena).
For the other teams a bus will be available at a cost (See Form 8).
The Organizing Committee grants the transportation of the invited Technical Panel, Referees and Judges from/to Zagreb Airport or Railway Station.
ICE RINK
Arena “Dom sportova” is located at Trg Krešimira Ćosića 11 (opposite from official Four Points - Panorama Hotel) almost in the center of Zagreb. Easy to be reached: 30 minutes by car from Zagreb Airport, 10 minutes by car from the Railway Station.
“Dom sportova” has a capacity of 5.000 seats. The ice surface in size 30 x 60 m is artificial and arena will be warmed up during the competition.
PRACTICE ICE
The official practice will start on Friday, January 14, 2011. Each team will be allowed a 10 minute period of official practice ice for the Short Program and 12 minute period for the Free Skating Program, free of charge.
No extra practice ice will be available after the Official Draw.
For extra practice ice (Thursday, January 13, 2011) see enclosed Form 4.
DRAW
The Opening Draw Ceremony will be made on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 19:30 (see PRELIMINARY EVENT SCHEDULE) at the Four Points - Panorama Hotel. The intermediate draw will take place at the Arena (close to warm up space) immediately after the end of the Short Program.
OPENING CEREMONY
The Opening Ceremony will be held at Dom sportova Arena on Friday, January 14, 2011, at 18:15.
Two skaters from each team will take part in this ceremony as banner carriers.
MEDALS AND TROPHIES
Trophies will be presented to the winning team in each category.
Medals will be presented to the top three finishing teams in each category.
COMPETITORS PARTY
The Competitors Party will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 22:30.

LIABILITY
In accordance with ISU Rule 119, Croatian Figure Skating Federation and the Organizing Committee for the competition accepts no liability for injury or damage sustained by competitors or officials. The Organizing Committee will not be providing participant insurance coverage for the event. Each Member is expected to provide its own insurance protection. The Organizing Committee will provide emergency medical services for all participants during the competition and official practice.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
Each team manager should be able to give important medical information for each skater for use in case of emergency/accident. Such information should include but is not limited to the following, and will greatly help local medical and emergency personnel:
PUBLICITY WAIVER
Each individual and/or team, waive any and all rights to financial remuneration or other compensation for the use or reproduction of their image or likeness, or that of their synchronized skating team, and grant permission to use same, as or in publicity prior to, during or following the Zagreb Snowflakes Trophy 2011, in Zagreb, Croatia.
TICKETS
Each team participating will be provided with 6 free passes (Team Manager, Coach, Assistant Coach, Medical Person, two (2) Team Service Personnel) and one (1) for Team Leader per participated ISU Member. The Organizer will reserve extra tickets at price of 2 EUR ticket/day.
PLANED PROGRAM CONTENT
Deadline for “Program Content Sheet” is January 12 at the registration. It is mandatory that the Program Content Sheet is filled in precisely by each team in English using the terminology for the elements listed in the Scale of Value Table published in ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Synchronized Skating 2010 as well as in all pertinent ISU Communications. The Planed Program Content Sheet has to be signed by a coach or Team Representative.
